I woke up to the sound of wine pouring into a glass. When I opened my eyes, I saw Evan sitting in front of a small wooden table with a crystal glass in his hands.

“Glad to see you have recovered nicely,” he smiled, his lips caressing the edge of the glass.

I didn’t know what he was talking about. Aside of my cuts and bruises, there was nothing to recover. Well, if I didn’t count the awful state of my body. Much to my surprise, he got up and handed me a mirror. I gasped at the sight of my reflection. Not only did my face come back to normal but it even looked somehow… better. I felt reborn in a weird way. Like the child I had in my womb until then decided to give back what he stole but with a bonus.

“I am guessing you are quite happy about it too,” Evan spoke again, chuckling slightly.

“Y—Yeah. I just don’t get it,” I mumbled, “I seem better than before.”

“We are kind creatures, in our own way,” he replied, sitting down next to me. “Even if we are newly born, we feel like we have to give back what we have taken. In rare occasions, like yours, the child adds a bit of his own energy, as a gift for his mother. It seems that Paris loved you enough to give you some.”

I sighed. He made me feel guilty. I hated that child from the bottom of my heart and now he told me that the baby actually restored and improved my health. I needed to apologize to him, even though I wasn’t sure he would understand me.

“Now I feel like I need to ask this,” the demon began. “Are you willing to stay here with us or are you going back home?”

Now that was a tough one. But what he did earlier had me convinced. I was going to stay.

“I grew to like you,” I answered. “And maybe, in time, I’ll learn to like this kid too.”

He nodded.

“I understand. One more thing, though and I have the feeling that you will like this. As the mother of my child, you are no longer my slave.”

“How disappointing,” I joked and he pulled me closer. Before I knew it, our lips met in a gentle kiss. His hands started wandering across my body, unbuttoning slowly my shirt as he kissed his way down to my neck.

“You’ve just said I’m no longer—”

“Hush,” he whispered against my skin, sending shivers down my spine. “I will treat you like my wife from now on. Just relax. Pretend it is our first time together.”

Big words coming from the one who had forcefully took my virginity just a few months ago before he and his buddies had their way with me over and over again. However, it wasn’t hard to do what I have been told—his warm embrace had me melting like ice on a flame.

I sighed and ran my fingers through his hair, gasping when his mouth lowered on my breast, his lips and tongue caressing the rosy bud.
